| The Angleton Police Department was formed in 1953. At the time it was formed the police department consisted of the Chief of police and two patrolmen. The police department now has 37 sworn officers and 13 civilian personnel serving a population of nearly 20,000 residents. | ||||||

The Angleton Citizens’ Police Academy Alumni Association (ACPAAA) has pledged to assist the Angleton Police Department with purchasing updated equipment. To accumulate between $108,000 and $126,000 the Alumni will be offering personalized pavers to be placed in front of the Police Department around the flagpoles. This will become an area of quiet reflection. A concept design approved by the Alumni Association is shown at right. It may change, depending on the number of pavers sold. Each paver is made of sleek black granite measuring 4 by 8 inches and is engraved using state-of-the-art laser technology to ensure strength and durability for years to come. |
